Yahoo!のMap Mixer
O’reilly RadarでYahoo!のMap Mixerが紹介されていた。Map Mixerは自分のオリジナルの地図をYahoo! Map上に重ね合わせてアップロードできるサービス。というわけで早速実験してみた。まずYahoo! Map Mixerのサイトにアクセス。UPLOAD MAPを選択し、Yahoo!アカウントでログイン。最初にマップを載せたい場所を指定。英語のマップなのでFujinomiyaとローマ字で入力。
次にアップさせたい 地図画像を指定。ここでUse Point Matchingをオンにしておくと、Yahoo!地図とオリジナル地図から対応する点を2つ指定できる。
最初の対応点1組を指定。左がオリジナル地図で右がYahoo!地図。共にドラッグをして地図を動かし、クリックして点（吹き出しの付いているところ）を指定できる。
同様に次の対応点1組を指定。
するとMap Mixerが自動的に地図の傾き、縮尺など補正して重ね合わせてくれる。
GoogleマップにもGTileLayerというものがある。こちらはAPIとして提供させるものなので、主に開発者向け。一方Map Mixerはプログラミング無しで利用でき、しかもアップロードした後にブラウザー上でフォトレタッチソフトのように縮尺・回転をして修正できる。こちらはとにかく気軽に地図を共有するためのサービスと言った感じか。GTileLayerでもMap Mixerでも当然重ね合わせる地図の楕円体や投影法などはGoogle・Yahoo側のマップに合わせておかなければならない。
